I love taking road trips with my Tito. It’s a really cool experience to be able to incorporate your dog into your vacation. That being said, there are still some places that restrict dogs, and as I walked up to the beach on Jupiter Island, I realized that it was one of those places. Dare I say this out loud but I have been known to look the other way when it comes to a sign full of rules on a beach, especially the rules against dogs. Now I wouldn’t go walking my pup on a crowded beach in the middle of Spring Break, but maybe right after sunset on a weekday, were there! Rather than sunset I decided to do something a little different with Tito on this trip. We woke up and saw the sunrise. Even better! Because no one is on the beach at 6:30 in the morning, especially when its 40 degrees. Tito and I didn’t mind the brisk morning walk down Jupiter Beach to the blowing rocks preserve. And while every inch of me was screaming for a strong cup of coffee I felt rejuvenated when I saw Tito chase his first bird along the waters edge. The sunrise was GORGEOUS! Once the sun had risen past the pinks and orange hues we marched around the preserve walking through the natural sea grape paths. I swear it felt like something out of Alice and Wonderland. As the path of sea grapes finally ended it brought us out to the tip of the preserve where we ran into another sunrise admirer, Glen. Glen was an awesome guy who is actually kayaking all around North America. He made a pit stop at the blowing rocks preserve but was headed out that morning up the Coast. His journey is a really cool one and you can check out his blog, One Ocean Project.
So as the rest of the world slowly began to rise, Tito and I trotted back to our car and took a quick power nap. This was an incredible adventure that I will never forget. Here are some of my favorite shots from that morning.

Tally ~ Tampa Pet Photographer
Meet Tally, another super cool pet client. Tally is a total daddy’s girl. She always knows where he is and constantly follows him around the room with her eyes . This big sweetheart was so obedient and listened to every command with a smile on her face. I must admit, that Tally had me smiling when she would try and sit, but yet slowly slide into a down position. I’m not sure if her paws were slipping on the paper or if she just felt better laying down but it was pretty hilarious watching her go from “sit” to “down” in about three seconds. She also was pretty good at sticking her tongue out at us, which I think is always a comical picture. Here are my favorites from her studio session.
Louis ~ St. Petersburg Pet Photographer
Meet Little Louie. The cutest little maltese who came into Gone To The Dogs Boutique last week to have his portraits taken. This bundle of energy was running around everywhere showing off how cute was from every angle. And then I had my assistant pick him up so that I could get a couple of cute close ups. At that point Louie couldn’t keep his eyes open. It was like he was in his mothers arms and began to doze off. I was cracking up as I had to wake him up three different times
Needless to say we got some great shots of him. Here are my favorite from his studio session.
Izzy ~ Harbour Island Pet Photographer
I had such an awesome afternoon with Izzy last week. This 2 year old chocolate love has alot of energy but also alot of manners, except when it comes to her dad’s sandwich (see pictures below). After almost consuming a turkey and ham delicacy we headed out around Harbour Island. The thing I love about this area is there are so many great spots to photograph. And with a willing subject, like Ms. Izzy, we were able to cover alot of territory with endless enthusiasm. Here are my favorites from her shoot.
Valentine’s Day Fun ~ Studio Pet Sessions
I just wanted to send a big thank you to all who participated in this weekends Graffiti Heart Art. It was an absolute blast to meet everyone and photograph your pups (and cats) . I consider this past weekend a huge success not only because of the great turnout but also because of the profitable fundraiser . On Sunday, February 14h I was at Gone To The Dogs Boutique. Not only was there pet photography but also canine massage and a huge raffle to raise money for the Pekes & Pals Canine Rescue. I talked to owner Greg, of Gone To The Dogs Boutique this morning and he informed me that they raised over $500 for Pekes & Pals!!!! And that was over the course of a few hours. Love was certainly in the air this weekend and I just wanted to again thank everyone for their support and generosity. Many more puppy posts to come from this weekend including my first ever Maine Coon Cat shoot (pretty much the coolest cats ever). Here is a sneak peek of some of this weekends participants.
Tampa Bay Times Cutest Canine Contest
So, I received a few emails this weekend from some of my awesome pet clients. They were so excited to announce their pups are up for Cutest Canine in Tampa Bay. The winner receives a cover feature and prize money which will be donated to a charity of their choice! How awesome? And while I’m totally bummed it’s too late to register Tito I am experiencing a more difficult problem. Who should I vote for when there is a one vote per day maximum? Ahhh! Therefore I am asking the public for help. Cast your vote for one of these four awesome pups, Cloie, Gunner, Eli or Grace. Voting ends February 19th! Best of luck pups
Featured below is a link to each one of their pictures. Grace and Eli used one of their studio shots from Pawsitivley Pictures. Love!

I Love My Dog
It’s so funny to see how Tito has blossomed. I can remember when I first rescued him, he was so timid around the camera. In fact as soon as he saw my camera bag coming out he would go ahead and face the opposite direction as if to subtly say “I don’t think so”. Well, it’s been about three years since he became a part of my pack and I think that he has finally accepted the fact that his mommie is a pet photographer. Acceptance is the first step
Now he hams it up for the camera 100 times over for me. He’s such an awesome dog and I am grateful for him everyday. Here is my favorite from yesterday’s super model shoot featuring none other then my man, Tito

Reese ~ Tampa Pet Photographer
Meet Reese, the spunky 4 lb Yorkie that belongs to Heather and Vinnie. This curious little guy loves to romp and play with his mom and dad. Half Yorkie and half Houdini, Reese has been known to escape out of very tiny places. Don’t underestimate that small little ditch in your back yard because to Reese that means an exit route. In fact, Reese went missing for a few hours about a week prior to the shoot. It turns out that he had made it through three neighbors backyards! Heather and Vinnie didn’t take any chances during our photo session keeping a close eye and leash on him at all times. And yes, he did try to escape while his mom and dad snuck a kiss during the photo session but he didn’t get too far, Heather was right there to scoop him up in her arms. Here are some of my favorites from Reese’s session.
Saturday’s Gasparilla Shoot
As many of you locals know, Gasparilla is quickly approaching. And with this day comes a celebration of pirates and pillaging. In addition to the normal Bayshore activities I also wanted to take this time to mention that Pawsitively Pictures will be celebrating Gasparilla, doggie style. That’s right, this Saturday make sure you come on over to Pawsitively Pets in Harbour Island and get your pups picture taken. There will be beads, bones, and booty (pirates booty). It’s going to be an absolute blast. And just because I couldn’t do a post without pictures, here is Tito modeling the latest fashion in Gasparilla attire. Arrgh ye mateys hope to see you there!
